Negotiations between union and business representatives in a meeting room to resolve a labor conflict.

Renfe, the train drivers' unions (SEMAF), and the Generalitat are working intensely this Thursday in Barcelona to finalize an agreement that allows the imminent resumption of the Rodalies service, suspended for a second consecutive day.

The Rodalies service remains paralyzed across Catalonia due to a strike by train drivers demanding greater safety guarantees. This protest follows recent rail accidents in Adamuz (Córdoba), which caused 43 deaths, and Gelida (Barcelona), which resulted in one fatality this week.
The crucial negotiation is taking place at Sants Station, where representatives from SEMAF, Renfe, Adif, and the Generalitat have been meeting since 11:00 AM. The goal is to draft a final document that satisfies the safety demands of the workers.
In parallel, the headquarters of the Department of Territory is hosting a meeting of the Catalonia Operational Coordination Center (CECAT). The Minister of the Presidency, Albert Dalmau, and the Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, are participating alongside members of Civil Protection and Rodalies, awaiting the agreement from Sants.
Chaos and uncertainty have marked the day for thousands of users in Catalonia, as the drivers' protest prevented the resumption of service that the Government had initially announced for 6:00 AM.
