The UGT union, through Francisco Cárdenas, stated today from Sants Station that participation in the train drivers' strike is very high, despite minimum services being fulfilled.

The head of UGT for Renfe in Catalunya, Francisco Cárdenas, asserted that the strike day started normally at Sants Station, emphasizing that the number of trains canceled early this morning was “totally anecdotal.”

"Internally, the collective is clear that this is a day for the railway, and we want to do our job with guarantees."

Cárdenas reiterated that, despite the stoppage, the programmed minimum services are being strictly met, guaranteeing essential user mobility.
The union confirmed that no progress was made during negotiations with the Ministry of Transport over the past weekend, and meetings are expected to resume throughout this Monday.
