CE Berga achieved a narrow 1-0 victory against CF Vilanova del Camí on Sunday, thanks to a goal scored by Oriol Ruiz, firmly holding onto the second spot in the league table.

The match played in Berga proved more challenging than expected for the hosts, who managed to break a streak of three games without a win. The Berga side remains three points behind the leader, Fundació Terrassa, while the visiting team from l'Anoia remains second to last, seven points away from the safety zone.
The first half was marked by parity. Although the home team dominated possession, a lack of passing precision prevented them from capitalizing on chances. Vilanova del Camí, meanwhile, opted for a deep defensive block, seeking danger through quick transitions and counterattacks.

Goalkeeper Enric Sánchez proved crucial for CE Berga, preventing the equalizer on several occasions during the second half.

The winning goal came in the 56th minute when Guille Martínez delivered a cross from a corner kick in a set-piece play, and Oriol Ruiz headed it into the net. After the goal, the visitors pushed forward, forcing the hosts to defend intensely, although Berga also had opportunities to seal the victory.
