The initiative aims to reflect on the reality of loneliness and highlight the importance of social connections for emotional well-being. The program begins on October 1st with the presentation of events and the inauguration of the exhibition Parelles Artístiques (Artistic Couples), which unites people linked to mental health resources and artists. The exhibition will initially open at the Gironella Library and will later tour the region.
One of the main events will be the Converses de Safareig (Laundry Conversations) day on October 8th in Berga's Lledó Park. This space will become a meeting point to discuss mental health, emotional well-being, and community, with the participation of educational centers, mental health entities, and individuals with lived experience. It will include participatory activities, the reading of a manifesto, a theatrical performance, debates, and a photographic exhibition.
On October 14th, the documentary Anhedonia, dins la depressió (Anhedonia, within depression) will be screened at the Casal de Berga, followed by an open discussion to delve into the impact of depression and emotional health.
The activities will conclude on October 21st with a book club at the Teatre Guixaró in Casserres, featuring writer Anna Manso discussing the book Cor de Neu (Heart of Snow).
In parallel, throughout the month, the libraries of Berguedà will organize various proposals related to mental health, expanding awareness and participation spaces across the region.
The Berguedà Mental Health Table invites all citizens to participate in this program, which aims to build a more empathetic, inclusive society committed to people's emotional well-being.
