The Dincat federation and the Department of Business and Labour have signed an agreement this February to change how subsidies for intellectual disability centers are paid.

The Government has committed to making payments three times a year (every four months). This change aims to improve the financial stability of organizations such as Fundació La Llar and Fundació Horitzó in the Berguedà region, which have struggled with significant delays.

"We were owed about 400,000 euros and had to use our savings; if the situation wasn't resolved, we would have had to take out a loan."

The agreement also includes compensation for delays from the past year and additional costs incurred by special work centers. Furthermore, the new regulations will allow for the funding of all contracts made throughout the year, regardless of their status at the time of the application.
