The local government of Berga, led by CUP and ERC, has launched negotiations this week with opposition parties to secure the 2026 municipal budget while governing in minority.

Finance Councilor Moisès Masanas confirmed that technical details are ready for discussion with Junts, PSC, BeGI, and independent councilor Lluís Minoves. The administration aims to finalize the accounts now to avoid political deadlock during the 2027 election cycle.

"We want to create very consolidated budgets so that if there is an approval problem next year, we are not left hanging."

A key priority is the Valldan Industrial Park, where nearly two million euros will be invested through 2028. Supported by a 1.3 million euro grant from the Barcelona Provincial Council, the project includes upgrading water networks, fiber optics, and surveillance systems.
