Berguedà County Council approves 23 million euro budget for 2026

The financial plan includes the project to move the administrative headquarters to the Sant Francesc Convent.

The Berguedà County Council approved a budget exceeding 23 million euros for 2026 this Wednesday, prioritizing the relocation of its headquarters to a historic site.

President Moisès Masanas explained that the budget has increased by 3.78%. A key investment is the drafting of the executive project to renovate the Sant Francesc Convent, which will host the council and the Berguedà Development Agency.

"It is not something we want to force, because it is very important and we want to do it well so that it is operational and provides the best service."

Other highlights include 100,000 euros for social housing and 85,000 euros for industrial park branding under the name Berguedà Industrial. Staffing costs will rise by 14.84% to provide better technical support to smaller villages.
