The final matchday of the Second Catalan League, group 4, promises excitement with almost everything still to be decided. With only three points left to play for, the championship title and the final standings for the promotion play-off spots are yet to be confirmed. Three teams from the Berguedà region have already secured their place in the play-offs, and one of them, Puig-reig, is even in contention for the final championship, which grants a direct ticket to the First Division.
The unified matchday, scheduled for Sunday at 12 noon, features crucial encounters. Fundació Terrassa will defend its league lead away against Sabadellenca, who still have play-off aspirations. Puig-reig will face Gironella in a local derby that could decide their title hopes. Berga will host Tibidabo, also with a chance to make the play-offs, while Corbera faces a seemingly easier task against the already relegated Sant Quirze.
For Puig-reig to become champions, they need Fundació Terrassa to falter against Sabadellenca, and they must secure three points themselves at Gironella's ground. A draw for the league leaders would be enough to secure the top spot, thanks to their superior head-to-head record against Puig-reig. However, the Berguedà team requires a victory.
Meanwhile, Berga and Gironella, already qualified for the play-offs, are competing for third place. Berga controls its own destiny to maintain its position, but a loss could allow Gironella to overtake them if they win their match. The final league order is significant as it determines home advantage in the play-off semi-finals, where these two teams are already set to face each other.
Further down the table, Corbera has a strong chance of securing the final play-off spot after their dominant win against Sabadellenca. With a one-point lead over Sabadellenca and playing against a team already relegated, their path appears clearer. However, a combination of unfavorable results could open the door for Montcada and Tibidabo.
In other divisions, the regular league season for Third and Fourth Catalan divisions is also concluding. In Third Division, Avià has secured second place for the promotion play-offs, while Navàs has already been crowned champions. In Fourth Division, Casserres is the champion, and the promotion spots are still to be finalized among Sallent B, Montmajor, Puigcerdà, Navàs B, and Avinyó.
