Around forty agents from Berguedà renewed their Sustainable Tourism Commitment certification this week in Guardiola de Berguedà, an initiative promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council.

A total of 37 entities renewed their status while one new member joined the program. This certification ensures that tourism services align with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, promoting responsible management of the local environment.

"The award is a statement of principles. You are betting on a more responsible, more conscious tourism, committed to the territory and the people."

The event also featured the presentation of the Berguedà Strategic Tourism Project 2026. This plan emphasizes cycling tourism as a key driver, highlighted by the Pedaling for Culture initiative, which aims to link heritage with outdoor sports.
