The Gironella Town Council will officially open the municipality's new pump track circuit this Sunday, March 1st, fulfilling a request made by the local Children's Council to expand the sports area.

The construction of the facility cost 102,608 euros, with 90,000 euros provided by the Barcelona Provincial Council. The site includes two different tracks: a basic one for beginners and a more challenging circuit for experienced skaters and cyclists.

"We decided to take on the project from the Town Council itself as an investment initiative to improve the sports area."

David Font · Mayor of Gironella
The opening event starts at 11:00 AM and will feature skill workshops for children, professional exhibitions, and live music. This new addition reinforces the local sports complex, which already hosts an athletics track, a skate park, and a bike park.
