The municipalities along the Merlès stream and security forces have restricted access to parking areas in the area, from Puigcercós to the Sant Cristòfol restaurant, due to high fire danger.

The measure, affecting the stretch between Borredà and the Eix del Lluçanès (C-62), aims to prevent visitor influx during a period of maximum forest vulnerability. Authorities have issued a clear recommendation to avoid accessing the area via any alternative routes.
The situation in Baix Berguedà is critical this Wednesday, July 9. A dozen municipalities, including Montmajor, Montclar, l'Espunyola, Casserres, Puig-reig, Gironella, Olvan, Santa Maria de Merlès, Sagàs, and la Quar, are at level 3 of the Pla Alfa.
