The precipitation, which began intermittently early in the morning, was most intense at higher elevations. While flakes did not stick in municipalities like Manresa (238 m) or Sant Joan de Vilatorrada (277 m) due to humidity, postcard-like winter landscapes were observed in Cardona (506 m), Moià (717 m), and Berga (704 m).
The regions of Solsonès, Moianès, and Berguedà received the most significant snowfall. In Solsona, rooftops were covered thanks to low temperatures (-1.7ºC), and depths exceeded five centimeters in Vall de Lord and Odèn. According to the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (Meteocat), one centimeter of snow was already recorded in Berga and Oliana by six in the morning.
This weather situation necessitated preventative measures. In Berguedà, the Casserres Three Kings Fair was suspended for safety reasons. In Moianès, the local council announced that the Three Kings Parade would shorten its route, concluding at the Santa Maria church instead of the Town Hall.
The snow episode was accompanied by intense cold, with sub-zero temperatures across much of the country. The minimum temperature was registered at Port del Compte, where the mercury dropped to -5.9 degrees. These conditions kept snow and moderate cold warnings active in Solsonès, Berguedà, Anoia, Alt Urgell, Bages, Lluçanès, and Moianès until midday.
