The Catalan Government has issued a weather alert for high winds in the Pyrenees this Saturday, leading to the closure of five out of six FGC ski resorts.

In the Berguedà region, the BV-4031 road between Castellar de n'Hug and Toses has been closed, along with the BV-4024 near Bagà. Additionally, the C-28 at Port de la Bonaigua is shut down due to avalanche risks, forcing travelers to use snow chains on five other regional routes.

"The decision to close today was the right one due to the extreme wind at mid and high altitudes."

While resorts like Port Ainé and Espot are completely closed, La Molina remains partially open for beginners. Local businesses in towns like Sort have seen an influx of tourists who swapped the slopes for local cafes and shops due to the weather conditions.
