The alert for the incident was received at 16:39 hours on Wednesday via the 112 emergency telephone number. The dog had fallen down an embankment and was located in an area of the Cal Riera canal, in the municipality of Puig-reig, which was inaccessible to its owners.

The Generalitat Firefighters quickly deployed to the scene and began the tasks to safely extract the animal, given the difficulty of access.

Despite the fall and the complexity of the location, the dog was rescued in good health, without any apparent injuries, according to emergency services.

Once the rescue operation was completed, the animal was handed over to the custody of the Local Police of Puig-reig, who took charge of the situation.
