The Bellver de Cerdanya Council has installed a new, sustainable lighting system inside the Santa Maria de Talló church to improve visibility and energy efficiency at the historic site.

The municipal brigade replaced outdated spotlights with modern LED technology. This 12th-century Romanesque building, often called the cathedral of Cerdanya, had been experiencing significant electrical issues during religious services.

"The lighting was very old and the entire installation has been modernized because there were many problems during mass."

Laia Serra · Mayor of Bellver de Cerdanya
Although the church belongs to the Diocese of Urgell, the local government decided to cover the costs to preserve the heritage and ensure safety. The project highlights the architectural beauty of the temple while respecting its historical essence.
