The Cerdanya Regional Council expressed its support for the manifesto by economic entities denouncing the lack of strategic projects and institutional leadership in the Catalan Pyrenees.

The Consell Comarcal de la Cerdanya has explicitly supported the manifesto “The Pyrenees cannot continue to be the permanent renunciation,” driven by over a dozen economic and tourism entities. The document criticizes the administration's withdrawal from the Winter Olympic Games and other key development projects.

"The Pyrenees cannot continue to be the territory that always ends up giving up."

Isidre Chia · President of the Cerdanya Regional Council
The council fully agrees with the diagnosis regarding the lack of institutional leadership and a clear territorial project for the Pyrenees. They state that Cerdanya and the entire Pyrenees clearly supported the Olympic project as an opportunity to generate investment and improve services.
The president of the Consell Comarcal, Isidre Chia, regretted that the lack of a shared strategy led to the abandonment of the Olympic project without the territory having a say. Chia added that this decision frames the governance of the Pyrenees "as a postcard and not as a project".

"The development of the Pyrenees is not a concession; it is a collective responsibility of the country."
