Public transport users in Cerdanya are facing daily hurdles and extra costs due to the region's exclusion from Barcelona's integrated fare system, the T-Mobilitat.

The lack of integration means that travelers heading to Puigcerdà or Bellver de Cerdanya from the capital only have their journey covered until Bagà. From that point onwards, they are often forced to pay expensive surcharges or full tickets, leading to frequent disputes with bus drivers over the validity of their passes.
The Cerdanya County Council has urged the Generalitat to address this inequality. Local authorities are calling for the region to be included in both Girona and Barcelona transport authorities to support students and residents who rely on these essential links.

"The current fare structure does not meet the needs of Cerdanya residents."
