The second edition of the Estiu Musical festival will take place in Llívia during August, offering four musical performances on the 2nd, 7th, 14th, and 21st of the month. Tickets are now on sale.
The recitals will be held at the Nostra Senyora dels Àngels church. One of the highlighted concerts will be a tribute to the Catalan soprano Montserrat Caballé, commemorating the 40th anniversary of her recital in Llívia. This concert is scheduled for Friday, August 7th, at 7 PM, featuring soprano Maribel Ortega and pianist Josep Buforn, performing pieces that Caballé sang during her original performance.
Prior to the tribute concert, a conference titled Montserrat Caballé, the great soprano of the 20th century will be presented by Pol Avinyó Roselló.
The festival will commence on August 2nd with the Cor de Cambra de l’Auditori Enric Granados de Lleida, conducted by Marcel Ortega and accompanied by pianist Arnau Ferrer, with the concert Notes d’estiu. On August 14th, Dimitri Petrov and pianist Marc Serra will present the recital Entre línies. On tot comença. The festival will conclude on August 21st with a female duet featuring soprano Andrea Megías and mezzo-soprano Diana Martins, with pianist Isaac Grau Guillén, under the title DE LLIVIA(MO). The festival's organization involves the Associació de Veïns l’Enclau de Llívia, the Amics de l’Òpera de Girona, and the Ajuntament de Llívia, along with support from local and national entities and companies.
Tickets are priced between 10 and 20 euros and can be purchased at the Llívia Museum office or by contacting the neighborhood association via email.
