The town of Llívia will host the Cerdanya Regional Studies Conference (JECC) for the first time on October 3, 2026, an event that promotes research on the region.

This initiative, organized by the Cerdanya Research Group (GRC), the Cerdanya Regional Archive, and the Cerdanya Regional Council, has been held since 2012 on a biennial basis. This year's edition will take place all day at the Espai Teatre in the municipal sports center's multipurpose hall.

"The success of attendance in the last six editions indicates that research on Cerdanya is very much alive and that researchers take advantage of this platform for the dissemination of their work."

The organizers have opened a call for papers, inviting researchers to share unpublished works in the humanities and social sciences that provide substantial new knowledge about Cerdanya. Abstracts must be submitted by August 15, 2026, and final texts by February 1, 2027, for potential publication in the journal ERA.
The conference will be structured into morning and afternoon sessions, with 10 to 15-minute presentations grouped by scientific area, and time allocated for discussion. Participation is free for both presenters and attendees. The Scientific Committee will evaluate proposals and reserves the right to decline those that do not meet the established criteria.
The event is supported by the Llívia Museum, the Diputació de Lleida, the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs, the Ramon Muntaner Foundation, the Diputació de Girona, and the Llívia City Council.
