Culture Minister Sònia Hernàndez presented the architectural plans for the new Cerdanya County Archive in Puigcerdà this Wednesday, with construction scheduled to begin this autumn.

The new 4.3 million euro facility will be located at Ronda dels Torreons. Designed by Feu i Godoy Arquitectura, the four-story building aims to solve space issues at the current site, which has been located in an old convent since 1989.

"It is essential to have a modern archive prepared for 21st-century challenges."
