The Puigcerdà City Council has formally requested the Generalitat de Catalunya to restore in-person livestock services at the future Government headquarters in the regional capital.

Local authorities are pushing for a Climate Action Department delegation, even on a part-time basis. Mayor Joan Manel Serra highlighted this goal as renovation works start at the former Tourist Welcome Center (CAT), which is set to become a major administrative hub.

"The City Council wants to host an in-person service for the livestock sector once again."

The renovation project is expected to take three to four months. Once completed, the facility will house twenty staff members from the Economy and Business departments, alongside a new Citizen Service Office (OAC) to assist local residents.
