The town of Puigcerdà celebrated the 29th edition of the Trinxat Festival this Saturday, establishing itself as the capital of Pyrenean cuisine with a gala dinner for 600 guests.

This year's event featured a reduced capacity, moving from 900 to 600 diners to improve safety and comfort. The Mayor of Puigcerdà, Joan Manel Serra, hosted the event, which was attended by the Minister of Business and Labour, Miquel Sàmper, and the President of the Cerdanya County Council, Isidre Chia.

"Next year, which is the 30th anniversary and a milestone, we will try to organize parallel activities to complement this long-awaited dinner."

The menu, prepared by the Cuina Pirinenca de Cerdanya collective, featured the traditional trinxat as the main course. The festival operated with a budget of 50.000 euros, supported by the Girona Provincial Council and local sponsors.
