The Mayor of Puigcerdà, Joan Manel Serra, and Senator Sara Bailac met this February to coordinate parliamentary action regarding the poor state of infrastructure in the Cerdanya region.

The meeting focused on the severe deterioration of the N-260 highway between Arsèguel and Bellver de Cerdanya. Officials reported dangerous road conditions between kilometers 195 and 215, including pavement deformations that pose a risk to drivers.

"The section between Arsèguel and Bellver shows a deplorable state of the road surface, posing a clear risk to road safety."

Discussions also covered the R3 train line's poor performance and cross-border issues with France. Wastewater management issues are currently hindering urban development and new housing projects in Puigcerdà.
Senator Bailac has submitted formal inquiries to the Ministry of Transport to ensure that the rehabilitation works planned for April are completed on schedule.
