The RD66 road, connecting Cerdanya and Capcir, will reopen this Friday, February 6, at six in the evening, following two weeks of closure caused by a landslide near Toès and Entrevalls.

The reopening of the road, which was initially scheduled for February 17 and later brought forward to February 10, has been accelerated thanks to favorable weather conditions and the activation of work teams seven days a week.
The landslide, which occurred on January 23, forced the closure of the road on a slope located 130 meters above the route. The Prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Pierre Regnault de la Mothe, and the President of the Departmental Council, Hermeline Malherbe, visited the site on January 30.

The restoration of traffic coincides with the start of the February holidays, a key period for winter tourism in Northern Catalonia.

Traffic will be restored in both directions without any restrictions, as the main road protection devices will be fully installed this Friday. Secondary protection work will continue in the coming days but will not affect traffic safety.
