The Government of Catalonia brought its work closer to the citizens of Cerdanya through the “Territorial Government Plan”, which made a stop in Puigcerdà coinciding with the XXVIII Spring Fair.

An informational vehicle was set up in the Cerdanya capital to provide details on the executive's main actions and projects with a significant impact on the region. The territorial delegate of the Government in Alt Pirineu i Aran and the general secretary of the Presidency visited the point to explain the governmental action.
Among the initiatives presented, investments in communication infrastructures were highlighted, including improvements to the Pyrenean Axis (N-260) in the section between Puigcerdà and La Seu d'Urgell, as well as the rural road network. Furthermore, the deployment of an additional 109 kilometers of the public fiber optic network is being accelerated, adding to the 56 kilometers already in place.
The aid that the Generalitat transfers to the municipalities of the region through the Single Plan for Works and Services of Catalonia was also emphasized, which has increased to 9.3 million euros for the period 2025-2029. The Catalan Water Agency has allocated 2.8 million euros to supply works.
In the housing sector, the Government already has the land to build 251 protected homes. Progress was highlighted in making the new headquarters of the Cerdanya Regional Archive a reality and the future construction of an annex building to the Cerdanya Hospital for the Cross-border Reception and Rehabilitation Device, aimed at improving care for mental disorders.
Other strategic projects include the expansion and improvement of justice of the peace with new municipal offices, and the modernization of sports facilities with an investment of 700,000 euros in Cerdanya within the Shock Plan for the modernization of sports facilities 2025-2029. In social equity, the staff of the Specialized Intervention Service of Alt Pirineu i Aran is being reinforced, supporting women victims of gender violence and their children.
In culture and language, educational centers in Cerdanya have participated in the “Pirineu Lector” project, which promotes Pyrenean literature among students. Economically, personalized attention to companies and professional guilds for attracting and managing job offers is highlighted.
