The Barberà de la Conca Town Hall and the local Agricultural Cooperative ratified the donation of the Cafè building this March, officially transferring it to municipal ownership.

The signing of the public deed concludes a long-standing process for this village in the Conca de Barberà region. Previously owned by the cooperative, the building had an old agreement for free transfer to the town, which was contingent on the existence of a democratic government. This legal step makes the local council the full legal owner.
The Cafè building is the heart of the town's social life. The facilities house the local bar, the Theater hall, and the cinema, serving as a meeting point for cultural events and community gatherings for decades. The agreement ensures the space will remain dedicated to public service.
The official ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations. The Agricultural Cooperative of Barberà was represented by its president, secretary, and director, while the Mayor and Deputy Mayor participated on behalf of the Town Hall.
