Primary care centers in Conca de Barberà have achieved the PROA basic self-certification this February, becoming some of the first in Catalonia to guarantee optimal antibiotic use.

The recognition was granted alongside Joan XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona. Only ten healthcare facilities in Catalonia currently hold this accreditation, which confirms the implementation of high standards to reduce antibiotic pressure and bacterial resistance.

"It is a guarantee that the organization works with common criteria, in a structured and rigorous way."
