Conca de Barberà Leads Growth in 112 Emergency Calls in Tarragona

The region saw a 10% increase in emergency calls during 2025, with traffic incidents being the primary cause.

The Conca de Barberà region recorded 6,419 emergency calls to the 112 service in 2025, marking a 10% increase and the highest growth rate in the Camp de Tarragona area.

According to the annual report presented by Lucía López, the government delegate, Montblanc accounted for 41% of all communications. Other significant activity was noted in L'Espluga de Francolí and Vimbodí i Poblet.
Traffic issues were the main reason for calling, representing 31% of the total, followed by medical assistance at 28% and public safety concerns at 20%.
