The Montblanc City Council reported this Thursday a series of vandalistic acts that have left fifteen public fountains out of service following the theft of their taps.

According to local authorities in the Conca de Barberà region, some taps were violently removed using stones, causing significant damage to the overall plumbing infrastructure of the town's public water points.
Technicians from Aigües de Montblanc had to intervene quickly to shut off valves and prevent further water waste. Experts are currently assessing the total cost of the damages while working to restore the service as soon as possible.

"Fountains are a common good and have a repair cost that we all bear together."
