The Montblanc City Council has announced the cancellation of the school Carnival scheduled for this Friday afternoon due to the forecast of continuous rain in the Conca de Barberà region.

The decision was made as it became impossible to hold the parade and the show La Festa by the company Believe Teatro, which was set to gather hundreds of students at Sant Francesc Square. Participating schools included Les Muralles and Mare de Déu de la Serra.
The event, prepared over several weeks, involved multiple parades starting at 3:00 PM from various schools. Persistent rainfall has forced the cancellation of all outdoor activities for safety reasons.
Attention now turns to Saturday's Grand Parade. Organizers are monitoring the weather closely, as forecasts suggest that wind could be the main obstacle for the weekend's main events.
