The main objective of this project is to address the current shortcomings of the facility and transform it into a safer, more accessible, and inclusive space for children and families. The recently approved plan involves a complete overhaul of the play area, including the removal of existing play elements and rubber flooring to install a new continuous rubber surface, meeting safety standards for new children's games.

The renovation also includes upgrading the perimeter fencing with new gates and barriers suitable for play areas, and adapting the existing wrought-iron fence to prevent potential entrapment hazards. The new playground will be designed for children aged six months to eight years.

Among the notable new features are a sandpit, a swing with a flat seat, an inclusive basket swing, and a baby swing seat, accessible combined play structures, a playhouse, an inclusive spring rider, and balance and climbing structures. A key element will be an adapted rotating game designed to accommodate a child in a wheelchair, reinforcing the park's inclusive character.

New informational signage will be installed, including the park's name, GPS coordinates, recommended ages, emergency and maintenance phone numbers, usage rules, and the location of the nearest public restroom. Existing benches and bins will be cleaned and repainted, while the wooden picnic table will be replaced by two new ones made from 100% recycled plastic.

The works, with an estimated execution period of two months, have a contract execution budget of 121,528.85 euros, including VAT.
