The Generalitat Firefighters declared the fire in Rubió stable on Wednesday morning, after working through the night with about twenty units and over a hundred personnel.

The fire, detected on Tuesday afternoon near the Can Massana hermitage, originated in Castellfollit del Boix and has provisionally affected an area of 47 hectares, mostly forest. Of this total, 53% belongs to the municipality of Rubió and the remaining 47% to Castellfollit del Boix.
Extinguishing efforts were intense throughout the night to prevent the fire from threatening a large wooded area with about twenty scattered farmhouses. These farmhouses were confined from 7:35 PM onwards to ensure residents' safety and protect them from smoke.

"Precautions must be extreme, and any activity that could cause ignition in the natural environment must be avoided."

Agents Rurals
The Agents Rurals are investigating the causes of the fire and have urged the public to remain vigilant due to the extreme risk of forest fires. This Wednesday, 111 municipalities in 20 counties are at level 4 of the Plan Alfa, and 273 locations in 23 counties are at level 3.
