The Montblanc City Council has been awarded a 753,357 euro grant from the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) to mitigate flood risks in the Pasquala ravine area.

The project aims to enhance the town's resilience against extraordinary water surges and climate change impacts. This funding is part of a broader 16.5 million euro program by the Generalitat to support 34 municipal projects across Catalonia.
In the province of Tarragona, seven grants have been approved, including the one for Montblanc. The works, scheduled for the 2026-2028 period, will focus on improving hydraulic safety and protecting residential areas near urban watercourses.
