The town of Montblanc hosted a new day of its Decennial Festivals of Mare de Déu de la Serra on Friday, featuring a diverse program that included a children's concert by Reggae per Xics. The show, held in Sant Francesc square from six in the afternoon, brought music and entertainment specifically designed for families to the heart of the municipality.
This performance was part of a schedule that combines traditional, cultural, and festive events throughout these days. In parallel, Poblet i Teixidó square hosted a flamenco afternoon organized by the Associació Cultural Andalusa Conca de Barberà, with performances by various dance groups and the Cor Rociero Verge de la Serra.
The day also included a more reflective segment, with a round table at the Museu Comarcal titled ‘The Role of Popular Processions in Major Festivals’, which discussed the importance of these festive manifestations. The program continued into the evening and night with floral offerings, more flamenco performances, sea shanties with Terra Endins, a fireworks display, and concerts by Doctor Prats and DJ Richi C.
The Decennial Festivals will continue on Saturday with activities such as the ‘Les danses retrobades’ exhibition, choir gatherings, International Folklore Days, and the drone show ‘Els quatre elements’ as the closing event.
