L'Espluga de Francolí hosted an intense day of Rural Pride, marked by a parade for LGTBIQ+ rights and Mag Lari's opening speech, who received the diversity sceptre.

Saturday afternoon in L'Espluga de Francolí was marked by one of the most reivindicative days of Rural Pride. The event featured a parade for LGTBIQ+ rights in the rural world and an opening speech by Mag Lari, which were the central activities of the program.
The parade, which started from the Jardí dels Francolins, combined activism, celebration, and popular culture. The event was presided over by Les Qüins and included participation from popular culture entities and the Ball de Gitanes de Sant Quintí de Mediona. The initiative aimed to give visibility to diversity from the villages, moving away from large urban centers.
Subsequently, Mag Lari delivered the opening speech for this edition. The illusionist took over from Toni Cruanyes, who presented him with the sceptre of diversity, one of the emblematic symbols of Rural Pride.
This day reinforced the festival's core message: advocating that pride also takes root in the rural world and that villages are crucial spaces for rights, culture, celebration, and LGTBIQ+ visibility.
The event's schedule continues with a night of concerts and shows at the Jardí dels Francolins, featuring performances by Júlia Cruz, Abril, Luzbel de Montiel, Gitanes Queer, Muerta Sánchez DJ, and Chica Barata DJ. On Sunday, Rural Pride will conclude with the screening of short films, a popular fideuà (noodle dish), the traditional sirenada at the municipal pool, and participation in the unified rural demonstration in Tarragona.
