The church of Santa Coloma de Queralt was the setting this Saturday for a cultural event that allowed for the recovery and public performance of five traditional Goigs and the Bons Colomins Anthem.

The day served to highlight pieces such as the Cobles Devotes, the Goigs en Lloança a la Santa Creu, the Goigs a Llaor de Santa Maria de Bell-lloc, the Goigs a Lloança de Santa Maria Magdalena, and the Goigs a Llaor de la Gloriosa Santa Coloma. This repertoire, which is part of the Catalan religious tradition, has been the subject of a long process of research and recovery.
The pieces were performed by the Orfeó Santa Coloma, under the direction of Frederic Prat and accompanied on the organ by Montserrat Sabater. The event has been described as a historic milestone, as it is believed that these compositions had never before been heard consecutively in a single concert.
To commemorate the occasion, a special printed version of the Bons Colomins Anthem was produced. Attendees at the event had the opportunity to acquire a numbered copy of this collectible edition, the result of collaboration between local organizations and specialists in the field.
