Social services in Conca de Barberà have consolidated their socio-educational intervention programs during 2025, offering support to children, adolescents, and families in vulnerable situations, with a total of 88 families in risk files.

The Socio-educational Intervention Service (SIS) has maintained and expanded existing resources to strengthen prevention and family support in the region. This commitment has resulted in a notable increase in participation in various initiatives.
One of the programs with the highest growth has been the daytime care service, which provides activities outside school hours. In l'Espluga de Francolí, the children's group increased from 9 participants in 2024 to 13 in 2025. Meanwhile, in Santa Coloma de Queralt, the secondary group reached 16 participants, the highest figure recorded in recent years. The town of Montblanc has maintained stable participation in its infant, primary, and secondary groups.
In the area of family intervention, the service has assisted 21 families, totaling 70 people. Montblanc led this assistance with 8 cases, followed by Rocafort de Queralt and Santa Coloma de Queralt, with 4 cases each. The incorporation of a new educator has been key to intensifying work with family units and improving case follow-up.
Socio-educational support for adolescents has benefited 22 young people during the year, and the program has expanded to Vilaverd, joining municipalities such as Montblanc, l'Espluga, Santa Coloma, and Pira. One of the novelties of 2025 has been the implementation of a service for families with children aged 0 to 3, which started with 3 families and 8 beneficiaries, offering support and training activities.
The SIS has managed risk files for 23 children or adolescents, successfully closing 33 cases due to positive evolution, and has worked with a total of 88 families. Additionally, the services have provided assistance to 55 women in situations of gender violence, with the support of a gender and gender violence reference figure, who joined the team in October 2024 to coordinate the involved resources and services.
The 2025 balance reflects a consolidation of programs, with growing participation, both family and territorial reinforcement, and a clear commitment to the prevention, protection, and well-being of children and adolescents throughout the Conca de Barberà region.
