After months of intensive work, the Mare de Déu dels Torrents School in Vimbodí i Poblet has celebrated the inauguration of its new facilities. The event, initially scheduled for April 11, began with a work day where families, teachers, and volunteers collaborated in painting the interior doors of the school and the nursery.
The official inauguration, open to the general public, took place at one in the afternoon, with the presence of students, teachers, and neighbors. All of them were able to see firsthand the significant improvements implemented. Among the most notable actions are the replacement of all exterior windows and doors, the installation of a modern heating and air conditioning system based on aerothermal technology, and the placement of solar panels over the basketball court.
These renovations were made possible thanks to a grant from the Department of Environment, aimed at ecological mitigation projects. With these interventions, the school is consolidated as a climate refuge, offering more comfortable and environmentally friendly spaces for the entire educational community. The day culminated with a popular lunch in the schoolyard, for which tickets had been sold until April 8 at various points in the municipality.
