The Mossos d'Esquadra have filed a criminal complaint against a 41-year-old driver who was caught traveling at 193 kilometers per hour on a section of the C-14 in Verdú, where the maximum permitted speed is 80 km/h.

The infraction was detected last Sunday, around 3:30 PM, during a speed control set up at kilometer 68 of the aforementioned road. This action is part of the regular operations carried out by the Catalan police to ensure road safety.
Subsequently, officers summoned the offender to Montblanc, where he was served with the summons to appear before the judicial authority. The appearance at the Cervera courts was scheduled for this Monday.
These types of speed controls are a constant practice by the Mossos d'Esquadra in the region, with the primary objective of preventing accidents and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, especially in sections with stricter speed limits.
