The incident was reported shortly after six in the morning in the area of the Montblanc recycling center (deixalleria). Emergency services confirmed that the fire mainly consumed recyclable materials, such as cardboard and paper, causing partial damage to the three affected receptacles.
The Generalitat Firefighters mobilized a single unit to tackle the blaze. Thanks to their quick response, they managed to control the flames in approximately thirty minutes, preventing them from spreading to other parts of the facility.
The fire did not cause any injuries or further material damage to the recycling facility premises, as confirmed by emergency services.
The origin of the fire, which was reported at 06:10 AM, is currently under investigation. Authorities are not ruling out any hypothesis regarding the causes that led to the burning of the containers.
