The Santa Coloma de Queralt Reading Club organized a poetry and peace recital on Saturday, April 25, in the great hall of the Castell dels Comtes, thus concluding the Sant Jordi program.

The event, known as Hora Poètica, took place on the Saturday following Sant Jordi, establishing itself as an annual fixture in Santa Coloma de Queralt's cultural calendar.
Several reciters took to the stage to perform works by prominent poets such as Clementina Arderiu, Joan Alcover, and Blai Bonet, offering a glimpse into the rich Catalan literary tradition.
The second part of the recital focused on a message of peace, with readings of poems by authors like Joana Raspall, Jacint Verdaguer, Joan Maragall, and Josep M. Espinàs, emphasizing the importance of this universal value.
As is customary, the event was accompanied by live music from students of the Municipal School of Music of Santa Coloma de Queralt, who concluded the evening with a performance of El cant dels ocells.
