Barnolas Soteras triumphed in the Catalan language category, while Arce Sobrao was the winner in Spanish. Both receive a prize of 1,000 euros and a sculpture from the contest.
The award ceremony is part of the II Canyelles Mil·lenària Historical Novel Festival, which had part of its program canceled due to a severe weather alert and the Inuncat alert.
The contest aims to promote literary creation with historical and local references.
The contest also awarded a special mention of 700 euros to Èric Carrera Rosdevall. The literary event continues on Sunday, October 4th, at the Castell de Canyelles with a literary fair.
