Anaïs Barnolas Soteras and Sergio Arce Sobrao have been the winners of the VII Castell de Canyelles Literary Contest, held last Friday, October 2nd, at the Espai Romanguer.

The seventh edition of the literary competition, created by the Canyelles City Council with the aim of promoting literary creation with historical and local references, has seen the participation of 35 authors.
Barnolas Soteras triumphed in the Catalan language category, while Arce Sobrao was the winner in Spanish. Both receive a prize of 1,000 euros and a sculpture from the contest.
The award ceremony is part of the II Canyelles Mil·lenària Historical Novel Festival, which had part of its program canceled due to a severe weather alert and the Inuncat alert.

The contest aims to promote literary creation with historical and local references.

The contest also awarded a special mention of 700 euros to Èric Carrera Rosdevall. The literary event continues on Sunday, October 4th, at the Castell de Canyelles with a literary fair.
