This initiative, which has already been successfully tested in Olivella, involves painting lines on the asphalt to clearly indicate evacuation routes and access paths for emergency vehicles and residents. The system aims to establish a common strategy for all involved security forces and provide a clear reference for the neighbourhood in alert situations.
The collaboration, which began last week with a meeting involving commanders from the Firefighters, the Environment Department, the Local Police, and the Mayor's Office, is based on an updated study of entry and exit routes for urbanisations with the highest fire risk. This study, conducted in coordination with the Local Police, will define the horizontal signage to be implemented.
The ultimate goal is for this measure, already validated in Olivella, to be exported to other municipalities, ensuring a more effective and coordinated response to potential emergencies.
