From the municipalist perspective of Fets per Sitges, politics is experienced through proximity and listening to residents, recognizing the importance of neighborhoods. This freedom of action allowed them to choose a significant space to pay tribute to the history of Sitges.
The celebration took place at the foot of the monument to the Four Bars, created by Sitges artist Agustí Albors. This choice was made with respect for institutional alternatives but held deep meaning for the organization, as Plaça Catalunya is the result of neighborhood activism initiated in 1981 and a citizen participation process that remodeled the area in 1998.
The gathering brought together about thirty people in a civic and family atmosphere, accompanied musically by the Colla de Grallers Maricel Sitges. They performed Els Segadors and laid a symbolic floral offering at the Church of Sant Joan, as a gesture of peace and neighborhood continuity.
Fets per Sitges emphasized the importance of celebrating Diada within a framework of coexistence, serenity, and mutual respect, highlighting that municipalism teaches us to build bridges through plurality and to care for what is closest to us.
