The infrastructure manager Adif begins improvement works on the Garraf tunnel this Monday, a project that will restrict rail traffic to a single track between Sitges and Garraf until summer.

The project, with a budget exceeding 3 million euros, aims to reinforce the structure against marine erosion. The works include the consolidation of a tunnel, two viaducts, and an underpass, along with waterproofing tasks to ensure the durability of the southern corridor.
Regarding mobility, the R2 Sud line will see reduced frequencies. Between Barcelona and Sant Vicenç de Calders, only two trains per hour will operate. Regional train passengers must transfer to buses between El Prat de Llobregat and Sant Vicenç de Calders.

"The plan is appropriate, but if deficiencies are noted, necessary changes will be made."
