The Minister of Territori, Sílvia Paneque, confirmed this Tuesday that the C-32 highway will not be free of charge during the ongoing railway works in the Garraf area.

Speaking at the Catalan Parliament, Paneque stated that lifting tolls is neither convenient nor necessary. She argued that such a move would encourage private vehicle use, which contradicts the government's goal of promoting sustainable public transport during the R2 Sud line disruptions.
To compensate for the rail restrictions, Renfe and the Generalitat have increased bus capacity by 14,400 seats. Additional services have been added to routes connecting Vilanova i la Geltrú, Cunit, and Calafell with Barcelona to handle the passenger overflow during the three-month construction period.
