The Rodalies de Catalunya R2 South line re-established its usual service in the Garraf area this Monday, after the completion of improvement works on the tunnels between Sitges and Garraf.

Train traffic has been fully normalized on the double track between the Sitges and Garraf stations. This improvement allows for the recovery of usual frequencies for the R2 South line, which connects Sant Vicenç de Calders with Barcelona.
The reopening has been brought forward by a week compared to the initial forecast, which anticipated a full service recovery for June 15th. After conducting the necessary circulation tests to ensure infrastructure safety, trains are now operating normally.
Additionally, the usual operation of regional services R14, R15, R16, and R17 has been restored. The alternative road transport plan implemented during the works will conclude today, Monday, June 8th.
