Rodalies trains are not running early on Thursday morning due to 'operational causes' according to Renfe, while the Government maintains alternative transport measures.

Rodalies trains have failed to resume circulation early this Thursday morning, despite the 'progressive' resumption announcement made by the Government the previous night. Renfe officially attributes the delay in launching the service to 'operational causes,' creating uncertainty among users at stations, where platform accesses have been closed.
The main train drivers' union, Semaf, indicated that workers would not resume their duties without receiving written guarantees from Adif regarding the safety measures adopted. This internal labor issue within Renfe is viewed by the Government as the main obstacle to be resolved.

"The issues that have to do with the labor framework must be resolved by the operator."

Albert Dalmau · Minister of the Presidency
To mitigate the difficulties, the Government has reinforced the frequencies of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC). Furthermore, the toll barriers on the Garraf highway remain lifted, and bus operators are authorized to expand their fleet. Until Friday, and with the possibility of extension, the Low Emission Zones (ZBE) in the Barcelona metropolitan area are suspended.
Both Minister Dalmau and Minister of Territori, Sílvia Paneque, requested 'empathy' towards the train drivers' staff, recalling the emotional impact that recent railway accidents in Gelida and Andalusia have had on the collective.
