Singer Rosario Flores showcased her "Universo de Ley" performance at the Terramar CaixaBank Festival in Sitges, marking over thirty years of her career. The artist reconnected with the Catalan audience, a region with which she shares a special bond, also influenced by her father's family roots, Antonio González “El Pescaílla”. Her music, a blend of flamenco, rumba, pop, and soul, defines a unique artistic identity.
The tour's title references her debut album, "De Ley" (1992), largely composed by her brother Antonio Flores. Tracks like "Mi gato", "De Ley", "Sabor, sabor", and "Mía mama" remain core to her live set, proving the album's enduring relevance. The repertoire includes an acoustic segment before returning to her usual high energy.
Rain unexpectedly appeared around 11:15 PM during the performance of "Estoy aquí". Despite the intensity of the summer storm, Rosario continued on stage, performing "Qué bonito" and "No dudaría". Before concluding, she gifted the audience with a final hit, "Muchas flores", turning the finale into a shared celebration under the rain.
The band accompanying Rosario includes Fernando Illán (bass and musical direction), David Escudero (electric guitar), Josete Ordóñez (acoustic and Spanish guitar), Diego Illán (drums), Tato Icasto (keyboards), El León (percussion), and Pedro Antonio Lazaga (guitar and percussion). Vocal backing was provided by Chonchi Heredia and Noemí Humanes, with dancer Rapico and Pol Vaquero on cajón.
Prior to the main concert, the instrumental trio Rail Band, from Garraf, performed covers of groove, funk, and jazz tunes. Their performance is part of the "Imprescindibles" (Essentials) series, promoted by the Culture Department of the Sitges City Council.
The following night, the festival will feature the iconic Catalan band Sopa de Cabra, celebrating their 40th anniversary. Earlier, the "Imprescindibles" series will present PAAU, Pau Montoliu's project, with a reggaeton performance.
